Glendore Public School’s 2018 PLP Celebration

In Term 4 2018, Glendore Public School held their annual Personalised Learning Pathways (PLP) celebration.

This event celebrated all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who successfully achieved their learning and cultural goals throughout the year. This celebration is an opportunity for students, staff and community members to gather together and recognise the hard work of the students of Glendore.

The Sista Speak students presented hand-painted plaques based on their Acknowledgement of Country which will be on display in the school’s hall.

The Boys Yarning Group students also presented a painting which was created with the support of Glendore’s Aboriginal Education Officer. At the completion of the ceremony, family and guests were invited to attend a barbecue hosted by Glendore’s Aboriginal Education Team.

The staff of Glendore Public School are very excited to start 2019 with the Welcome Yarn PLP barbecue celebration to be held at the end of Term 1. This year, we have representatives from Awabakal who will explain the support services available to our families. Watch this space for an update about the Welcome Yarn at GPS!
