Walk A Mile Koori Style has been an annual community event in Newcastle since 2013. It is held each year during the sixteen days of Activism for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

Upon completion of the walk, the men show their respect to the women in their lives and make the White Ribbon Pledge:

I swear never to commit, excuse or remain silent about violence against women, this is my oath.
